The second Valley FM forum on quality education was held at Kleinplasie in March. The participants were school teachers and school bus drivers: Riette Malherbe, Anthea Ismael, Koos Bosman, Thebo Maphoa, Martin Jooste, AB de Bruin. They looked at a range of issues, relating to safety at schools, such as how to instill discipline, how to inspire pupils, and how to deal with gangsterism and the drug trade. It was good having the bus drivers there, to provide a slightly different perspective.
The new mics worked well and the sound quality was much better. Again, I edited the sound and sent the resulting CD back to the station. The radio programme based on the forum was aired on the 15th of March, 2007. Again, only one caller phoned in -- the same person as on the previous programme.
