The beginning of the Valley FM project in applying the principles of Public Deliberation to radio talk shows. I held a training workshop at Valley, FM, in Worcester, Western Cape, South Africa, on 12 and 13 January 2007. There were 8 participants: Vuyo Mrashula (volunteer reporter/producer), Ursula Ryneveldt (volunteer), Doreshia De Vos (volunteer), Sandy Braaf (programme manager), Catherine C. Wiese (staff presenter/producer), Mary Mahlatsi (volunteer reporter/producer), Charles Beukes (volunteer programme presenter), Francois Marais (station manager).
